With only the Super Bowl remaining of the Gridiron Gods’ inaugural season, I thought this would be a good time to look back on a few statistical highlights of season #1. (Besides, I’m looking for anything to kill the time until the offseason gets underway!)
Below I have a graph that depicts the total points scored for and against by each team. They are ordered from best to worst point differential left to right (the Vikings have the best point differential while the Falcons have the worst). You’ll notice that the 18th team in, the Packers, have a negative point differential – the points against line is higher then the points for line. Post your interpretations of what’s going on here in the forum dedicated to this topic.
The second piece of information I wanted to share is some irrefutable evidence that the beasts play in the east, the AFC East. Whether you’re interested in offense, defense, point differential or wins, it’s clear that the AFC East is the king of all divisions. (Trust me… I know… I’m the only 10 win team NOT to make the playoffs). Again, please post your comments on this in the forum.
Enjoy,
