Tecmo Bowl was the first football game that I ever played and I loved dropping back about 30 yards and just heaving it down the field, good times. Well, those good times maybe coming back. Over on Joystiq’s website, Tecmo Bowl will be coming back and titled Tecmo Bowl Throwback and will be a downloadable game for the 360 and PS3 on XBL and PSN. Tecmo Bowl Throwback will be based off the SNES title but have the updated HD graphics and sound effects but will keep the orginal teams and plays.
For the players that want to go back to the old style graphics, you will be able to do so too. There is no release date yet for Tecmo Bowl Throwback. Here is the link to the article.

Reading over at 2Ksports about MLB 2K10, Art Director Alan Blouin discusses the art direction in the upcoming baseball title. Major League Baseball 2K9 was the first version of the MLB 2K series that Visual Concepts produced in house after taking it over from Kush Games.
This year, the guys really had time to introduce new technology and greatly enhance the visuals. They used a lot of the techniques and methods that were designed and perfected for NBA over the years and applied them to Major League Baseball 2K10. The result is greatly enhanced player models as well as overhauled environments.
He then goes on to discuss the changes in Environments as well as the Players.

This of course if anyone is playing old sports titles online, I was looking over at destructoid.com and saw a very interesting article on EA Sports going to shut down some old gaming servers next month, February 2, 2010. I was looking at the list and there are games that are two years old on there like NHL 07, but also Madden 09 is on there. So for those who want to play Madden online, may want to go out and purchase Madden 10. From Conrad Zimmerman over at destructoid.
If you’re still playing last year’s edition of the Madden franchise online, you’re going to want to pick up Madden 10 sometime in the next month, as the servers are shutting down across all platforms on February 2nd.
Here is a list of the games that will be shut down on February 2nd.

A screen shot from the up and coming NBA Jam for the Wii has surfaced. As you can see in the screen Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce are very well detailed. The screen is scanned from a magazine as you can probably tell.
No word on when or if the title will hit on the 360 or the PS3.
The game is said to go sale for $50 bucks. Your thoughts?

Good day to you guys. Some Backbreaker news here for your reading pleasure. The guys over at Operation Sports have put up their preview of the up and coming game from Natural Motion. Dustin Toms is the man behind this preview and he gives some good insight on it.
The article is a great read and got me pumped about this game. I am looking forward to seeing more news and bringing it to SGN.
I have added some points after the jump from the article.
